Therapy with Anji

Children and Adult Therapy

Therapy for children, young people, and adults; adapting to each individual's emotional needs and developmental stage. Whether seeking help for anxiety, low mood, emotional outbursts, grief, relationship issues, or feeling overwhelmed. I prioritise building trust and work at the child's pace.

Sessions with children involve talking, play, drawing, or storytelling to facilitate expression, with adapted sessions for young people to comfortably explore feelings and past experiences.

Adults too can use the sand tray or fiddle toys if they wish. Other creative options are available. I find that adults know what they wish to talk about and seek out someone to help them resolve issues. Talking and sharing those issues is where change happens.

Parent Support & Consultation

Parent sessions support you in understanding your child's feelings, identifying support options, examining your experiences as a parent and helping you and your child communicate more effectively. I help parents understand their children and young people's behaviour and help to map solutions for difficulties such as avoiding school and managing anxious thoughts and feelings.

These sessions can be single consultations or ongoing support, often serving as a helpful first step considering therapy for your child.

Complex Needs Support

I specialise in therapy for PTSD and Complex PTSD (using CATT therapy), supporting children in care with attachment trauma, and assessing children and young people who have harmed others.

My work requires care and clinical experience, collaborating closely with families, carers, and professionals to provide appropriate support.

Support for Organisations Working with Children & Young People

I offer consultation, training, and reflective spaces for caring organisations and educational trusts working with children who have experienced trauma, loss, or disruption.

  • Trauma-Informed Consultation, helping caring organisations develop a deeper understanding of how trauma impacts behaviour and learning, and how best to respond with empathy and consistency.
  • Training & Workshops, on topics such as attachment, developmental trauma, therapeutic play, and safeguarding through a psychodynamic lens.
  • Embedding Therapeutic Thinking in Practice, working collaboratively with leadership teams to develop emotionally attuned environments that support both children and staff.

  • Primary & Secondary Schools
  • Alternative Provision Settings
